Getting our garden ready
Wow we have been very busy over the last few weeks here at BestStart Mosgiel getting our garden ready for planting. The children are learning that there are many steps to getting the garden up and growing. Firstly preparing the soil and turning it over ready for planting, secondly planting the seeds that we are going to grow, and thirdly looking after those seeds by watering. This learning all links into our current group plan of "All About Me" where we have been discussing healthy choices with food and how these healthy foods help our bodies to grow and function. The gardening is also teaching them how to look after our environment and that we need to have some patience as it takes a while for the plants to grow big enough for us to eat!
