Gloop fun time!
Today we decided to make gloop with the nga tamariki.
The nga tamariki were very excited and eager to have their turn. They were able to follow through the instructions because they listened very carefully.
The nga tamariki were using their fingers to get the feel of the gloop first. When they were satisfied with the texture and feel, they got busy playing. While playing with the gloop, they interacted and shared stories.
Gloop was an interesting mixture with a unique texture to explore and play with. This was the opportunity for the nga tamariki to explore the texture and talk about what it feels like, sticky, slimy, cold and powdery, which helped develop their vocabulary.
The nga tamariki had the opportunity to develop Mana Reo (Communication). They were able to discover different ways to be creative and expressive by learning to share their feelings and ideas.
