At Coast Boulevard we celebrated St Patricks day in style this year. Teachers and children wore green for the day and we had a variety of green themed activities for the children to explore.
One of the highlights of our day was when all the children in the centre came together in one room to enjoy a performance from local Irish dancers.
At Coast we have many talented teachers, one of which is Kimberly, the head teacher in our under-two’s room - Kowhai. Kimberly has her own dance school where local children from Tauranga and Katikati learn Irish dancing. Every St Patricks day they travel around fundraising for their dance school and this year they stopped in at Coast to showcase their talents.
The children were mesmerized by the performance, many of which sat there enthralled with their mouths open in amazement. They were especially excited at the loud tap dancers who showcased their talents on a wooden board. At the end of their performance, the dancers invited children up to dance alongside them which many children enjoyed!
Thanks for visiting Kimberly Amrein School of Dance, we appreciate you taking time out of your day to share with us your amazing talent.
