Going with the flow
Our youngest tamariki at BestStart Taradale have began to take an interest in moving their bodies to music, along with making their own music which has led to our new “Music and Movement” focus.
Tamariki are born into a world of sound and movement. Music helps their intellectual, imaginative, emotional, social and cultural growth. Music is enjoyable, soothing and assists in the development of listening skills, concentration, coordination, cooperation, communication and memory, as well as being a valuable resource for creativity.
Keep an eye out for all the amazing music and movement things the teachers will be setting up, creating, supporting, facilitating, documenting, and enjoying alongside tamariki over the next few months.
