Gold medals all around!

Olympic fever has arrived at BestStart MacDonald Street. Firstly, the crayons and paint came out to make our Olympic torches. What amazing artwork! 

Then it was onto the Olympics bike races. On your marks, get set.....GO!!!!!! It was a nail biting race with pole position changing quicky over the course of the race. There were a few crashes along the way but our amazing participants picked themselves up, dusted themselves off and got straight back on the bike to finish the race. 

We then moved onto the tower building competition where Latrell took home the gold medal for his awesome tower which broke the world record for the highest tower! 

Later that day we moved onto sand pit block popping. This is a new game for the Olympics and the organisers were very impressed with the level of concentration and speed of our competitors. 

The children in the Koru room showed off their amazing bean bag throwing skills. The competition was tough and the judges had a tough job of choosing a winner! 

And lastly, let's not forget the hockey match between the Te Tipu Titans and the Te Tipu Tornadoes. We watched from the side lines as our awesome competitors gave it their all. Gold medals all around! 

What an awesome Olympics games it was. We all loved taking part and showing kindness to our competitors.
