Here at Botany Road we believe that our tamariki and whanau are a part of the centre even when tamariki have moved on to school. As part of our goal of maintaining that connection at the end of the school holidays we hosted our Alumni afternoon tea.

We invited all tamariki who graduated in the last year to come and share afternoon tea with their friends and teachers. They all stood up at mat time and talked about what they liked best about school and what they had learned in their time at the centre that helped them settle into school.  

This was so great to see our older tamariki sharing their knowledge their younger friends and was a wonderful example of our centre vision of Growing Confident learners. Afterwards we all joined together and shared a yummy afternoontea.
