Dads are important in our lives and this month we celebrated Father’s Day to acknowledge them. Our dads are very busy and most mornings skip breakfast, as they rush off to work. Keeping in mind their busy schedules, at BestStart Howick we celebrated Father’s Day with a fully-cooked breakfast. Dads were thrilled with the scrumptious spread and more so having breakfast with their child. Children also took the opportunity to present them with a gift – an arty pebble paperweight to take back, along with a creative photo frame. After breakfast, children proudly shared their centre environment with their dads. Through such special celebrations our tamariki experience whanautangata - an environment where their family is an integration part of their early childhood curriculum.
