To celebrate Halloween at BestStart Papamoa Beach we had a special Halloween morning tea with lots of Halloween themed activities. These included orange bug slime (Messy Play), spider/blood ice(Ice exploration), orange playdough, ghost chases (Physical/Imagination), a magic cauldron (Water Play) and a exploding pumpkin (Science) which the children love exploring the science around Vinegar and baking soda reacting, and lots of funky Halloween dancing. 

Halloween has long been associated with images of witches, ghosts, black cats and vampires dating back to Celtic rituals thousands of years ago. Even though things may look a little different this year, today’s Halloween traditions have evolved into a celebration observed with kid-friendly activities, we love exploring all cultures and their unique celebrations. 

We had some very imaginative kai too, thank to Trina for the little fingers, Jess for the eye ball juice, and the scary cookies, Hayley did the ghost cheese and the ghost banana, vicki did the rotten eggs and the fish fingers. 

Thank you to all our whanau for taking the time to spend with us today, and a big thank you to all the amazing teachers here at BestStart Papamoa Plaza for all the support and laughs.
