Happy Halloween at BestStart Manukau!
Happy Halloween BestStart Whanau. We had so much fun celebrating Halloween at centre with all our lovely children and teachers. this time Halloween is different for all of us due to level 3 restrictions. Anyhow even lockdown wouldn't stop us to celebrate it together as we had a zoom Halloween celebration with our friends at home. children were thrilled to see each other on Zoom. It was so interesting to see all our tamariki dressed up in bright colours and spooky looks. Also parents were getting creative with their hair and outfits. Children made greeting cards, paper candies and spooky spiders. Children also made their own personalized Halloween trick or treat baskets. Halloween spirit was very high regardless of any restrictions children and teachers worked hard to celebrate and be creative while dressing up. The tamariki were all so happy to be dressed up and loved posing for some pictures. Room was decorated and it looked spooky and scary. We enjoyed reading books and dancing to some Halloween songs. We had lots of f fun and activities. it was great learning experience for our tamariki as they developed their fine and gross motor skills. This experience has also helped children to develop social skills and develop their language.
Tamarki also explored different ideas and imagination n through active participation. We would like to thank our tamariki and parents/families who became a part of this celebration while being at home. We also missed our tamariki and families who were not able to join us. We can't wait to have all of you back at centre.
What a great Halloween celebration we had at BestStart Manukau!
