Having fun with food!
As we move into our summer menu, we strive to make the food enjoyable for our tamariki while serving healthy and well balanced meals. At BestStart Oraha road our tamariki have enjoyed having fun with food, learning about nutrition, and practising self-help skills.
Our Tamariki enjoyed building their own wraps, learning how to follow verbal instructions, and how delicious healthy food can be. Having all ingredients to build their own wraps on their plate, they still had the freedom to choose what they would like to put in their wraps.
Why not try to make your own wraps at home? They are delicious, healthy, can be filled with a wide variety of fillings, and the best part is that they can be frozen for up to 3 months, for those quick meals or as a snack.
Ingredients:
4 Cups whole meal flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
