Spring is upon us, the perfect time for planting! Here at BestStart Grey Lynn we planted some carrots and spinach in our garden. We made sure to water the soil and made some signs so we would know where we put the seeds. We also read a beautiful new pukapuka / book that told the story of where kūmara comes from. What a great way to honour and care for Rongo-mā-Tāne, the atua / god of kūmara and cultivated foods and learn about how things grow.
