Recently At BestStart Pipiwai Road, we have been setting up a number of messy and sensory play activities for our tamariki (children) to explore. Henry was one of the first tamariki drawn to the glorious gloop activity that we set up. We placed the tub on the ground so that some of the smaller children could also experience it.

Sensory and messy play experiences provide children with such a vast number of skills and learning experiences. In exploring messy play, Henry is learning all about her senses, cause and effect, using his fine and gross motor skills and hand eye coordination. And of course he is having so much fun!
