During the month of October at BestStart South Rd we held a range of different activities to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer. The highlight of the week was definitely our Pink High Tea. Our tamariki indulged in some sweet treats that they helped our kaiako create.

Our whanau and kaiako continued to display our centre vision of multiple voices, one community as we worked together to raise as much money as we could for this charity. We sold Breast Cancer merchandise, held a pink mufti day and invited children to bring along a special woman in their life; mum, nanny, grandma, aunty.

Everyone received a special goodie bag before they went home. The bag included a useful diagram to support women to self-check at home and take a preventative stance against breast cancer.

At Best Start South Road we really enjoy supporting charities, individuals in needs, and other organizations. It is one way that we show our support to our community.
