Last week at BestStart Epsom we held our first Hindi Language week.

We learnt about some famous buildings like the Taj Mahal and the Golden temple. We did some drawing and shared stories about these places.

Dandiya dance was enjoyed by many children where we got a chance to listen to the Hindi music and dance with the sticks.

We learnt a word and Hindi symbols each day throughout the week to familiarize ourselves with what their language looks and sounds like.

We did some art and craft so that we could decorate the windows of the Kiwi Room with sparkly Diya art.

Making coconut balls was so much fun. It was good opportunity to test our Maths skills by following the recipe, measuring the ingredients and choosing different colours to make balls. The most challenging part was making the balls but is was fun and a good way to enhance our fine motor skills. We did taste a few balls and couldn't wait till the Diwali celebration where we got to eat those balls that we made with our friends.
