At BestStart Lakeside Village, we love creating opportunities for tamariki and whānau to come together and celebrate the special people in their lives.

Throughout the year, we honour occasions such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Grandparents’ Day, making these moments meaningful and memorable for everyone.

These celebrations are more than just events—they are about building connections, showing appreciation, and strengthening the sense of belonging within our learning community.

For Mother’s Day, our tamariki enjoy creating beautiful cards and gifts, and we often invite mums to join us for a shared afternoon tea filled with laughter and aroha. Father’s Day is all about fun and bonding, with activities like outdoor games, building blocks, carpentry and special treats that dads and children can enjoy together.

Grandparents’ Day is always a highlight, where we welcome grandparents into our centre for storytelling, songs, and shared learning experiences that bridge generations. These occasions give tamariki the chance to learn about gratitude, kindness, and family traditions while celebrating the important role each person plays in their lives.

We are proud to create these opportunities for whānau to connect and make lasting memories. At BestStart Lakeside Village, every celebration is a reminder of the strong relationships that help our children thrive.
