BestStart Lakeside Village
BestStart Lakeside Village is a modern, purpose-built early learning centre located in Te Kauwhata. We provide high-quality early education and award-winning childcare for children aged between 3 months and 6 years old between the hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
At BestStart Lakeside Village, we believe in developing strong, positive connections with children, families, and the community. We create a nurturing and caring environment with a homely feel that provides children with a place to create memories, grow, and feel a sense of belonging. Our calm and safe learning environments cater to each child’s unique ability to explore, play, have fun, take risks, and make their own choices at their own pace.
We value diversity and promote individuality by encouraging children to experience their culture through celebrations within the centre. We collaborate with families and the local community, such as inviting the local librarian to our centre to read to the children fortnightly.
Our Team
Our experienced and culturally diverse team of teachers believe in empowering children to become competent, confident, and capable learners. We work alongside children and families and we value whānau participation through active involvement in children's learning, open communication, and establishing positive relationships.

Our Spaces
Our indoor environments are purposely built to support the learning and development of different age groups – Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers. Each room is equipped with high-quality, age-focused resources designed to spark curious minds. Our spacious outdoor areas encourage physical activity where children can explore and challenge themselves on our modern playground equipment, building independence and self-confidence.
