How do our bodies work?
Nga Tamariki have been really interested in how our bodies work in the last month or two. We have been discussing what we can find in our bodies from skin, muscle, blood and of course our bones. Nga Tamariki decided today to create BestStart Belfast Kindy's first hospital to cater for all our sick and injured children. We separated into groups with some Tamariki taking on the lead as Doctors at our hospital and some as patients. What a fantastic morning full of imagination and discussions around what was wrong with each patient and how best to fix them. The teachers supported this creative thinking by facilitating the environment adding resources and equipment such as bandages, pictures of different parts of the body and also writing paper so our doctors could write notes on their patients.
