Identity and Shapes
Lately, our centre has been working on each and everyone's identity, where we have spent lots of time creating our pepeha wall. We are always extending our identity and using lots of forms of play to support the children.
Today we enjoyed printing black and white photos of ourselves and using the coloured shapes and light box to be creative. We had lots of discussions about our eye and hair colour and what made each of us special. Through creative art like this, children are given opportunities to discuss feelings while working collaboratively with others around the space.
This experience is art and collage related but also loose parts and exploring shapes and colours you can find more information about the quality learning opportunities each area provides through our 16 Areas of Play.
