In Our Toddler Room
In the Pipi room our tamariki (children) start from 12 months old. We understand that each child is different and will care and nurture for each child's individual needs and follow a routine that fosters the individual to build a sense of well-being and belonging.
Toddlers are actively curious and seeking to make sense of their world. We provide daily opportunities for tamariki to engage in rich learning experiences where they can explore all for their senses, make new discoveries and build on and extend their interests while learning with and from others.
We recognise that toddlers have a strong desire to increase their independence, where we support our tamariki by encouraging self help and self care in face washing, dressing ,caring for belongings and also caring of others and our environment.
