At our centre, we recently celebrated a very special "Indian Art Day", filled with colour, creativity, music, and cultural exploration.
It was a vibrant and fun-filled experience where our tamariki had the opportunity to explore a variety of art activities inspired by the rich culture of India.
The children created beautiful artworks using colourful lentils, carefully designing unique patterns and pictures while developing their creativity and fine motor skills. They also painted Indian flags with great enthusiasm and proudly shared their work with their friends and teachers.
Adding to the excitement, many children dressed in bright and colourful clothing, beautifully representing the diversity and traditions of Indian culture as they were very excited to put "Bindi" on their foreheads. Throughout the day, the sounds of lively Indian music filled the environment as the children enjoyed dancing, moving freely, and expressing themselves with confidence and joy.
The celebration encouraged cultural awareness, creativity, self-expression, and a sense of belonging for everyone involved. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged, curious, and excited as they explored new ideas through art, music, and movement.
Indian Art Day was truly a meaningful and memorable experience that brought smiles, laughter, and learning to our centre community.
