Connection, creativity and curiosity are the foundational values of who we are and what we do at BestStart Coast Boulevard.

Together with our whānau and community, we create an inclusive environment where children build meaningful connections, express their creativity, embrace curiosity and develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need for school, for life and for their future.

Our large, spacious outdoor area is a haven for active play, offering endless opportunities to explore and connect with nature. We balance this with calm, quiet indoor spaces with multiple age-specific classrooms where children can relax, reflect and recharge. We have a mobile hairdresser who visits our centre every six weeks and we offer a range of engaging extracurricular activities such as playball, dance classes and swimming lessons.

We believe strong relationships are the heart of learning.

Through whanaungatanga, we build meaningful partnerships with tamariki, whānau and our wider community. We celebrate cultures, acknowledge home languages and celebrate important milestones. Our learning extends beyond our centre through regular excursions, meaningful community experiences and strong relationships with local schools, organisations and neighbourhood spaces

Creativity
We believe every child is naturally creative, capable and full of potential.

Children learn best through play. Our curriculum is enriched through our 16 Areas of Play, providing children with diverse opportunities. These include art and creative expression, music, movement, dramatic play, construction, literacy, mathematics, science and discovery, sensory play, water play, sand play, loose parts, puzzles and games, cooking, gardening and technology.

Curiosity
We believe curiosity is the spark that inspires lifelong learning.

We create environments where children feel confident to ask questions, investigate, discover and challenge themselves. We are passionate about providing a rich curriculum that nurtures confident, capable learners. By fostering independence, resilience, communication, early literacy, numeracy and social competence through our Set for School programme, we prepare children for a successful transition to school and beyond.
