Infants at work
Today we were in the sandpit constructing and deconstructing sandcastles. The fun started as I was making sandcastles and Vave and Elijah eagerly awaited their turn to bust them into oblivion. I couldn’t make the sandcastles fast enough and started encouraging them to help me fill the bucket with sand. Vave got his spade and helped to fill the buckets as Elijah grabbed handfuls and threw them on the ground. William came to join all the fun and grabbed a spade close by and helped to fill the buckets. They clapped and cheered as the sandcastles fell to the ground and we worked together to construct another one. Eventually, they learnt how to work together as a team and take turns to fill the buckets, cheering as their friends obliterated the sandcastle before we worked together again to make another one.
