Kia Ora Welcome to BestStart Highfield. What an amazing, fun experiences we attempt to provide our tamariki for enhancing their inbuilt skills and confidence. Our kaiako plan some interesting activities for our tamariki by keeping children's interest in mind and ways for them to open up their imagination and creativity. Inviting intentional setups and different resources keep our tamariki engaged, through which they develop their curiosity and opens up new ways of learning and play. Imagining opens up a world of opportunities for children’s play.

It encourages children to explore the boundaries of their imagination. Early childhood teachers can promote creativity by setting out activities with no expectations of the results. This will reward the children’s experimentation and investigation. The placement of materials can create meaningful experiences. For example, by placing items together, which are usually not combined, you encourage children to think of different ways to use them. Additionally, involving children in the collection of materials is a way for them to practice counting and sorting. Invitation to play have several advantages for child's development.

It builds confidence in tamariki as they are able to direct their own play, utilizing the same resources in different meaningful way and expressing their imagination and creativity with confidence.
