Introducing Carpentry
With the recent move to our spacious new classroom and open outdoor area that is easier to supervise, our Wheke children are able to enjoy many new activities. One of the activities that has proved very popular with all our children is having the opportunity to do carpentry.
We have introduced this to the children with simply hammering nails into wood. Children are developing their hand-eye coordination, their problem-solving skills are being extended and amongst other things they're learning to take turns and cooperate with others. And they are having fun, which is something that is very, very important in Wheke Room.
