Its Spring Time!
It’s Spring Time! Here at BestStart Tironui we have taken this opportunity to show and teach our tamariki all about plants. We have started a project where children can actively participate in growing and nurturing our plants so we can watch them grow and eat from the fruits of our labor.
We started from planting a few seeds and watering our beauties are ready we will transport them to our planter boxes, we recently just moved into our outside space. We have planted a few ready to eat herbs for children to smell and taste. We also have an apple tree we are trying to save and see if it will grow with a bit of love and care.
Our tamariki enjoy sitting by our herbs eating their lunch or having pretend picnics. Some of children also decided to turn our planter boxes into a big bathtub. Living outdoors seems to be our theme now.
