It's warming up for water play!
As the weather is getting warmer, we are starting to spend most of our time outside here at BestStart Aidanfield. That means we are getting more time for water play! Water play is one of our favorite activities here in the Kiwi room. The tamariki enjoy filling up bottles and tipping them out, when we have mini sea creatures and fishing nets and also when we make bubbles in the water. This is helping them develop their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination by pouring, squirting, stirring and squeezing. Also, it is a great way to help them with their imagination and problem-solving skills. We also love getting in our togs and getting wet on really hot days!
