Japanese celebration week with BestStart Stoddard!

As a part of our Japanese culture celebration, we set up an activity of hat making.

Kasa is a traditional Japanese hat that is made of bamboo. We made our hats from cardboard paper. We cut out circles, and our children did beautiful drawings and colouring on their hats, and then we made them into beautiful Kasa.

Our children learnt the new word ‘Kasa’, wore them with big pride, and celebrated our beautiful Japanese culture.

Our children learned about Tradition Japanese hats and extended their knowledge. They used their creativity, imagination, and innovation during this experience. Their concentration and perseverance were witnessed during this task. They learned to share and wait for their turn. Ka Pai Tamariki!
