These school holidays we have experienced a great range of themed days and activities. The themes included celebrating Puanga with art, baking and a shared morning kai, an excursion, teddy bear day, and no holiday program is complete without a pyjama and movie day.

Celebrating Puanga was special as family members were invited to have morning kai, colourful and sparkly stars were created in both the Infant and Toddler room and in the Preschool room, and kaiako worked together to create the perfect star cookie recipe for tamariki to decorate. It was lovely to see tamariki showing pride as they had the opportunity to share some time in their centre with whānau.

Our dinosaur themed day saw tamariki dressing up, going on a dinosaur hunt, and even using dinosaurs to create footprint art work. On our teddy bear day tamariki were excited to show their teddys to one another and enjoyed the teddys joining in with their play. Kaiako enjoy the themed days and love an excuse for a dress up! We love getting involved and seeing the smiles as we arrive in our pajamas, and sharing our favourite childhood teddy. We had lots of fun these school holidays and cant wait to start planning for the next school holidays!
