Our Kaiako have noticed how our nga tamariki have such curious enquiring minds asking many questions about the insect world in their surroundings. From watching insects flying in our outdoor area, where they land, how these small wonderous creatures move, live and being able to represent their ideas and theories about these small creatures through the medium of visual art has intrigued nga tamarki over the past month. We look forward to exploring further science literacies about bug anatomy, insect identification and life cycles while growing a love and guardianship (Kaitiakitanga) for our natural world.
