Learning about bullying
Today as part of anti-bullying week, some of the Preschool and the Prep Room came together to discuss the effects our words have on others. Today we did the toothpaste experiment, we asked the children to put the toothpaste back into the tube. This proved to be a difficult task. Shanae and myself then talked about how when we use unkind words on our friends we can’t take them back inside just like the toothpaste, some of our children then talked about what they could do when they are frustrated, for example walk away, or say I will play with you later. Most importantly they all stated “We use kind words at Preschool”, ka pai tamariki we could all learn something from you.
