BestStart Willowpark's Big Kiwi tamariki have been busy learning about their identity and what makes them unique. Through this project they have made their own korowai out of fabric and craft materials, they all showed such pride at being able to wear their masterpieces. They have also made their own poi to take home and share with their whanau.

The Big Kiwi children have a special greeting with their teacher every morning as they enter the room, we have now added a hongi as an option for this greeting, they all enjoyed learning about the protocol around giving someone a hongi.

We can’t wait to see what we learn about next.
