At BestStart Montessori Johnsonville we pride ourselves in working with whanau to meet their child's individual needs. 

One of families shared that their child was really interested in teeth after a dentist visit. Always ready to provide materials to support further learning, one of our teachers was quick to find the teeth cleaning materials. 

The children not only learned about teeth and how to clean them, but also learned the names incisors, canine teeth and molars. Stories were written about teeth, we counted our teeth, and then as luck would have it one of our 5 year olds lost one of their deciduous (baby) teeth.

What a great learning experience for all!
