Learning about seeds
Our children in Ruru room are learning about seeds and germination.
The first step towards their learning was looking at beans after which teacher demonstrated the correct way to plant the beans into the soil. The connection to mother earth Papatunuku were
enhanced for children. The hands-on experience provided them with opportunity to water the seed, plant it and learn about. The children were excited to write the names of the things planted by them building on to the literacy knowledge.
