Learning about Water Conservation
We were super excited to have Sarah from Watercare Services come and teach our tamariki about water conservation and how the water comes to our homes. The tamariki were so engaged as it was interactive and fun for them.
They learnt about how in Auckland our water is running out and that we need to try and save as much as we can over the next months. She showed some photos of the Nihotupu reservoir which is very empty.
Sarah gave the tamariki shower timers which last for 4 minutes. She told them this will save lots of water. Out tamariki learnt a lot today and they had a blast.
