Ever since the first day of lock down, Beststart Mount Wellington have started interacting online with our tamariki and whanau through storypark. Kaiako have been posting engaging activity ideas on a daily basis for tamariki and whanau including parent-child yoga, alphabet scavenger hunt, DIY facial masks, gardening, arts and crafts…It covers both inside and outside, fine and gross motor skills activities.

And we have got lovely feedback from our whanau in photos and videos. We are so happy to hear that our children and whanau are well and safe in their bubbles, and they have given it a go to many of our play ideas. Also, our whanau have taken the opportunity to explore the nature with tamariki which will definitely help them love and respect the environment more. it seems that a new routine has been built during this period.  The children are sitting less and moving more. What’s more, one of our wonderful children has started her first few steps in the video below, exciting!

We are grateful for all the interactions on Story Park and we would like to know more about what you and your little ones have been doing. Feel free to send us more of your stories, adventures and discoveries. Please let us know if you require any further information during the lock down. Hope to see you all soon, take care.
