At BestStart Coronation Road, learning and enjoyment are never compromised. The importance of staying connected and collaborating with our parents and whanau has always been paramount. Our teaching staff have stayed connected to our children and whanau through story park, zoom mat time, and phone calls during lockdown level 4. It's encouraging to see our tamariki engaged in fun learning experiences even while they're at home. Beautiful images of children's golden moments of learning and becoming active learners at home were shared by parents. To engage our tamariki and whānau, Kaiako at Best Start Coronation has been busy posting videos of mat time and daily activity ideas on story park.

During level 3 we welcomed children and provided interactive and engaging activities for smooth transitioning and supporting their well-being. Children had opportunities to take charge of their learning and acquire competence and confidence in a comprehensive manner. Arts and crafts were at their pinnacle of popularity, and they not only helped our tamariki discover diverse ways of expressing themselves, but they also helped them regulate their emotions in a creative way.
