Learning in lockdown
To connect with our BESTSTART Omahu community and whānau over lockdown we have been engaging in ‘BestStart at Home’ As a centre it’s important that we continue to support each child’s individual learning journey and stay well connected with your whānau. All of our kaiako have been initiating daily experiences throughout the entire centre, which has encouraged tamariki to get involved with. Tamariki and whānau have been sending us many photos of their lock down experiences and we kept the conversations moving by discussing the photos with you all. We have been connecting via zoom and for our Kaiako this has been a great IT learning experience too!
Lockdown has been a time for many to rest, reflect and recharge, however it has been an opportunity for us to connect and strengthen relationships within the centre community. We are looking forward to having all of our tamariki back in our centre once it is safe.
