Teachers work in partnership with the child and their whanau to encourage and teach them the skills that they need to care for themselves and others.  When children view themselves as competent and valued individuals and members of the group they develop belonging/mana atua. 

By providing varied and relatable experiences we respond to the child’s natural desire to mimic and master roles of responsibility and refine their fine motor skills and concentration.
