At BestStart Kaikohe we have been introducing our tamariki to a range of messy play, with items such as gloop, slime, and shaving foam. 

Tamariki of all ages enjoy the opportunity to get their hands dirty as they manipulate, squeeze, pull and swirl, engaging in a real sensory experience. 

Messy Play is an important part of learning, as children get to experience various textures and how these feel on their skin. Messy Play is also a great way to relax tamariki and create a soothing, calm environment!
