Learning waiata in Te Reo
Last week we were so lucky to have Isabelle's mum (Crystal) come and visit us and teach us some waiata (songs) in Te Reo. You all enjoyed getting up and doing some kanikani (dancing) with her. You all used our poi to bring the music to life just like Crystal showed you!
Crystal even read one of favourite stories to us, 'The Hungry Caterpillar' and we learnt lots of the words in this book in Te Reo! Learning new words in Te Reo is just one of the ways we can keep this treasured language alive!
We cant wait for tomorrow because Crystal has kindly offered to come and teach us some more! It! We are so grateful to you Crystal for your time and willingness to share your knowledge with us!
