Lets find Bugs!
We ventured into our centre bush area, not know what excitement awaited us today or what we were going to explore. Using the equipment we brought with us, we explored in, under and around our bush environment, some of us used spades on the hill to dig deep and see if we could find an insect home and some of us explored new equipment with Millie, some of us collected rubbish, we have some fabulous Kaitiaki in our centre!
It was exciting to see this new found fondness with bugs emerging, there were a lot of discussions around where and how we might find bugs, lots of exploration is happening on these walks and the children are now telling the teachers where to look and guiding us through research into what each bug is!
