It is so amazing to see our babies love to play with music instruments. There was a beautiful set up for music play. Samhita grabbed the musical toy and started exploring by pressing buttons and touching it around.

Anveer came and grabbed a shaker and started shaking and enjoying the sounds coming from it, moreover, putting in your mouth again and again to feel the texture. Kabir also joined and grabbed the big shaker with coloured balls and started shaking you were looking again and again both the sides of it as you were so curious to know what is happening you also trying to put it in your mouth to get the taste and feel the texture of it.

Annay was looking at all his friends and looked as enjoying different sounds they all are making. They all looked so happy, confident, and satisfied while doing different activities with music instruments.

The learning opportunities are endless. Children learn through play. Music is enjoyable, soothing and assists in the development of listening skills, concentration, coordination, cooperation, communication, and memory, as well as being a valuable resource for creativity. It is important to value children’s desires to repeat activities as this is one way children practise being musical and gain control of musical forms.

Music can help children to

• express feelings through voice and body
• develop rhythm and harmony
• be creative and have fun
• recognise and enjoy sounds, instruments, and different music

Picking things up and feeling their texture is what people often associate with sensory play, but it’s about much more than touch. Sensory play includes any activity that stimulates a young child's senses of touch, smell, taste, sight, and hearing, as well as anything which engages movement and balance.
