This year's Cook Island language theme was "Kia pūāvai tō tātou Reo Māori Kūki ‘Āirani i Aotearoa" meaning "That the Cook Islands Māori language may blossom throughout children to make Cook Island 'ei Katu (head Garland) which they wore for the celebration. 

They took part in drumming, learning to follow the beats and rhythm. Then joining the audience to practice Cook Island dance moves and listen to the tales to the beat of the Cook Island drums. It was such a great opportunity for our tamariki  to enhance their knowledge and understanding on Cook Island languages and cultures.
