Our Preschool children have been learning about Life cycle of a Sunflower. This week the children are at a first stage of the cycle which is seeds. They planted the seeds in a pot. Together they will nurture this sunflower from a seed in a pot, and as it grows into a seedling it will be then transferred into our garden. What a great team work displayed by our children while planting the Sunflower seeds.

The interest of gardening was also extended to our Infants. Our pepes also enjoyed planting Sunflower seeds in their own named pots. The children have been watering the Sunflower seeds to help it sprout. Moreover the children did some Sunflower painting. These arts provide a tool or medium for children to interpret the world through theirTogether they learnt how to respect their environment. They also learnt about sowing seeds, later on caring for seedlings and planting them out in the garden and daily care of their plant.
