Literacy games!
Lately in the Rua room the children have been encouraged to join in some fun literacy games that encourage them to learn the sounds and names of letters of the alphabet. This game is called the 'Fly Swat' game.
This is one of the tamariki's favourites as they get to race against their friends to swat the letter sound or name they hear. The children are really enjoying literacy games that support them to develop literacy in preparation for school, in a fun way!
