On 13 February 2025, our tamariki had an unforgettable and educational day at the Little Bo Farm. This excursion was a huge success, filled with excitement, joy, and hands-on learning. The support of our whānau made this special day possible.

Rather than visiting a traditional farm, the Little Bo Farm came to us! A mobile setup, organised by our centre, brought pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, a rat, and two ponies directly to our car park. The tamariki were delighted to interact with the animals, learning about their behaviours and roles on the farm.

Pony rides were available for children over two, and many enjoyed learning about the ponies first-hand. A big thank you to our whānau, who supported the tamariki by bringing them to the event and participating in the experience. Their presence reflected the strong sense of whanaungatanga (kinship, relationship) we value.

Our teachers focused on encouraging the tamariki to explore and enjoy the day to the fullest, ensuring their learning was fun and engaging. They guided the children in their interactions with the animals, providing valuable educational opportunities and promoting responsibility, animal care, and aroha (love, compassion).

This adventure reminded us of the strength of hapori (community) and the incredible things we can achieve together. We look forward to more exciting adventures ahead.
