Little Explorers Indoors
At BestStart Merivale, we believe in the power of learning through play, open-end resources, and movement. Our approach to education nurtures children's creativity, imagination, and cognitive development - providing them with a solid foundation for future success.
This morning we set up a water play activity inside, as it was a bit chilly to explore outside. The children absolutely loved exploring the different resources in the warm water under the heat pump, all whilst smiling and laughing away with each other while sharing and learning together. This experience engaged the children for a sustained amount of time, using and building on their fine motor skills as they splashed around in the water and sang different songs. The children used their creative and problem-solving skills to build towers with blocks, count numbers, and learn new colours with their teachers.
This play really helps support the development of self-confidence, self-esteem, social skills, and engaging in group activities. What a fun-filled experience of new learning!
