Posting boxes are such an easy, fun and engaging activity for our pepi! We have created some amazing posting boxes using old formula tins and wooden pegs. Our pepi love this activity and will sit and post all the pegs throughout the day! Posting refers to the action of placing an object inside a container by means of passing through a slot or smaller opening. The need to place an object inside another object is a natural urge that infants and young toddlers have. Posting activities are a great way to develop hand eye coordination, fine motor skills and develop the ability to release an object.

Through responding to these natural urges and proving our pepi with activities that nurture their curiosity and interest we spend hours of fun being engaged and developing new skills!

To make this activity at home all you need is an old forumla tin and some wooden pegs. Cut some small holes in the top - big enough for the peg to pass through and enjoy!
