Carrying on from our explorations into the chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar the other day, today the children at BestStart Tauranga Central investigated the reaction between cornflour and water. It was great to hear some of the children describe what they could feel along with what they noticed was happening. Some preferred to use the spoon to scoop it and watch the reaction. Messy play is so much fun, providing lots of opportunities for thinking, and problem solving while communicating and interacting with others.
