Connecting with our local community is a huge priority for our little centre.  By hosting our whanau and tamariki at our annual Beach Hop party we build long lasting relationships.  We practised every day to perfect our dance steps and even managed to get our parents up dancing too.  A huge amount of work went in to making this event as meaningful as possible for our tamariki.  One of the highlights was the mustang giveaway!  Each keyring was put in the barrel and Sheriff Woody - AKA our local pirihimana - drew Charlotte's name out!  The mustang much proved popular and ensured all out little cowboys and cowgirls were filled up so they could enjoy the games, the pony express, the TNT tattoos, having their picture sitting in "Sally" and even experiencing a real Wild West Jail.    We even had one of our last school leavers join us for our party - no missing out for Kaden :)  Our teaching team were packed full of smiles and enjoyed the night alongside their little posse of cowboys too.  Roll on next year!
